This little girl, Shiloh Pepin was born with a rare condition called Sirenomelia. Where her lower body are not developed properly in which the legs are fused together, giving the appearance of a mermaid. (Check wikipedia definition of Sirenomelia)
It was cited in some website that when Shiloh Pepin was born, she was without bladder, uterus, colon and vagina, and with only one kidney and one ovary. Her chances of survival are slim.
Shiloh Pepin underwent a kidney transplant to replace the malfunctioning one and is living currently one of three survivors of Sirenomelia.
Think it take tons of inner strength to overcome all difficulties that she is facing and to be living strongly. When you think you have big problems in your life... Think of people like Shiloh Pepin and Ben Underwood. And we will know that adversities and challenges can be overcome.
